Embrace Unconditional Love and Forgiveness
My heart goes out to all the lives touched by the violence in Paris, Beirut, and elsewhere. By all means let's pray for the Paris and the world. But let's also exercise the highest degree of forgiveness and love to ALL. To those who might be tempted to judgement and retribution I share these thoughts.
Hasn't history amply proven that judgment and retribution doesn't work? Isn't it obvious that this behavior, and the mindset behind it, is exactly what has been sustaining the hatred and strife that has been running rampant on our world for as long as we can remember?
Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love. This is the eternal rule.
Isn't the never ending cycle of hatred and retribution obvious? When will we wake up? When will we have the courage to try something different and stick to it long enough to see it work?
We can't solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.
How close to the brink of self-destruction do we have to come, how much pain must we endure till we find a better way?
When will we embrace unconditional forgiveness and love?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
I am sending all my love to heal physically and emotionally, the victims of violence and hatred everywhere. I'm also sending love to heal emotionally the perpetrators of violence and hatred. What pain must these perpetrators have experienced, what grievance must they hold, to choose to bring such pain to others?
Love and light,
